Quote by cmcloydwhat are you alking
about? the first gundam was released back in the 70's. also, there is going to
be another seed, its called gundam seed eternity, stargazer did suck really bad,
no the movie doesnt replace the 3rd seed , and genesis is a website and a really
crappy fan made seed series. gundam 00 is supposed to be timeline wise the first
series seeing as how its called 00 meaning the 1st year of the uc
calendar.
What are YOU talking about? The first Gundam was released in 79, and it wasn't
even popular until it got into reruns and they did the compilation movies, which
were played in Japanese theatres in the 80s...So yeah, Gundam didn't become
popular until then.
Now, about Stargazer...Stargazer was way better than SEED and Destiny COMBINED.
No whiny protagonist, characters that actually die and nice battles (sure, the
battles in the last episode were badly animated, but compared to the stock
footage we had in SEED and Destiny, it was way better than anything in those
shows). And yes, the movie replaces the series, even though we haven't heard
anything about it for a long time. There's no third SEED series.
Now, about Gundam 00...Have you actually watched the show? It's damn impossible
for it to fit in the UC (unless they make the Turn A in 00...and even then). The
Mobile Suits in 00 out-class pretty much everything found in 0079, 0080 and
0083. And in the latest episode, we found out they already went to Jupiter,
while in UC they didn't manage to get there for awhile.
Quote by cmcloydanyways here is a short
descripton of gundam seed eternity that i found:
C.E 77 - 4 years have passed since Kira Yamato and his comrades shattered
Gilbert Durandal's ambition. Athrun, who became the represetative of the bridge
that connects between the worlds, International Alliance [Eternity], was now
spending busy days fighting against great number of terrorists who revolted
against the current world, while searching for his best friend, Kira, who
disappeared after the great war. During that time, a large and mysterious
organization, [Evil Mea], which tries to push Naturals into extinction, lead by
Astea Rineheart, a man in a mask, suddenly appears. As a result, Athrun too,
sends out the Eternity Army, lead by Mwu, Isaac, and Deakka, but the tide begins
to turn before the 4 Gundams ridden by another man in mask, as well as being
Astea Rineheart's right hand man, Glenn Magnius, and his subordinates, Wil
Ryumiel, Sakura Elsenue, and Olin Gilford.
As that happens, Eternity's Elite Pilot, Ken Minato, riding [Splash Gundam],
Aisia Selinue's [Garnet Gundam], [Celcius Gundam] controlled by Leon Wiznard,
stand in front of Glenn. The new sword has now descended.
and here is a concept drawing of what the next freedom may look like. since its
copyrighted i would have to say its pretty much an official concept.

Nothing has been announced by Bandai or Sunrise for a third SEED show, so
there's no third SEED show in the works. And seriously, after the trainwrecks
that SEED and Destiny were plotwise, I'd highly doubt Bandai would be dumb
enough to try another one.
Unless, you have access to a super secret source that works within
Bandai/Sunrise that managed to show that to you...
Did you see how long it took to charge the cannon? Unlike GS/D where the
stronger beam cannons were fired almost instantly. And the light means nothing,
it's just how their engines work.
Quote by MystikalLamHmm, I've watched
the first episode, it doesn't look too bad! But my friend pointed out that
Mobile Suit looks pretty weak...oh well, I don't notice
it!
The Mobile Suits aren't weak. They're just not as overpowered as everything in
Seed. Tell your friend to watch older Gundam series.
And cygnostratus, seeing only one episode aired so far, it's kinda normal that
it's the only one that got subbed
I liked the first episode. I like it alot better than GS/GSD, but it's still too
early to judge fully. So I'll wait for at least 10 episodes before saying if
it's crap or not (GSD started out good, but quickly got crappy).
I pretty much stopped watching when I realised there wouldn't be a second
season. It's a damn shame too, since the manga gets much better after the war in
the north.
Quote by GundamKidnamedMatt02842Thank
God? No, I'm thanking Him that we atleast got a Movie instead of nothing. I wish
we got another C.E. Series. C.E. had lots of potential, and still does. Besides
this isn't the first time this has happened in Gundam Universe, that is having a
sequel that doesn't live up to its predecessor. Look at ZZ, which is generally
looked at as a "poor" series, yet the U.C. series still continued to
thrive after it, in both anime and manga. Destiny may have not been everybody's
cup of tea, but I don't think they should just stop continueing the C.E. series
as an anime. And I don't understand why everyone keeps calling the 3rd...
actually 4th C.E. animation Eternity, thats not the official name, its just fan
made.
Though besides the Movie I'd suggest fans look out for Gundam 00. It's getting a
lot of hype on some other mecha forums, and its looking promising so far!
SEED doesn't have potential. Heck, anything where a popstar is the ultimate
voice of reason doesn't have any potential.
About ZZ, it was given to another director at first and eventually, Tomino
jumped back in. Of course, back then, Tomino had a very dark tone in his
creations, so it was a complete change from the light hearted first half. Main
reason why it's regarded as a bad series. Meanwhile, Destiny did everything
wrong after episode 13 and it had the same staff during it's entire
run.
Also, the only reason why UC survived so long in manga is because Bandai KNOWS
that the UC fans will take just about anything that develops their favorite
universe more. While Bandai knows that the CE universe is a fad. Just like GWing
was a fad.
There's no third SEED series (thank god). The only thing SEED fans can expect is
a movie that should finish the SEED story. After that, there might be manga side
stories, but don't expect a new series for the SEED universe.
New Gundam TV series confirmed: Mobile Suit Gundam 00
A very short promo appeared after today's episode of TBS/MBS' "Toward The
Terra" announcing a new Gundam series. Mobile Suit Gundam 00 (Double Oh) is
set to air at 6pm on Oct 2007. The official site is up providing a streaming
promo.
Known details are:
Setting - 2307 AD ("seireki", Japanese for "anno domini")
Characters - 4 Gundam Meisters, who pilot the mobile weapons.
Factions - Solestal Beings (not real sure on the English name right now), a
private militia group whose purpose is to eradicate wars.
Tagline at the end of the commercial - "Rebirth begins through
destruction"
Rumors about the series have been going around Japanese message boards for some
time, especially after Sunrise registered several Gundam00 domains. The
proclamation that the setting would neither be in the Universal Century of the
original nor the Cosmic Era of Gundam SEED, as stated by Sunrise's Yasuo
Miyakawa, seems to have been followed through with. Staff members are yet to be
confirmed although the most persistent rumor is that the series will be directed
by Fullmetal Alchemist's Seiji Mizushima.
Quote by Dudewhatzup... Kira in ZAFT?
because of Lacus? or for some unknown reason... I'll keep dreaming he isn't.
Lacus as chairwomen... maybe fits the part but Kira cant.. Kira is part of Orb,
he cant leave, and taking sides will ruin the first 2
series.
At the end of the Gundam SEED Destiny Special Editions (which pretty much
nullifies the TV version) he joins ZAFT.
Quote by raver22She is one of the main
characters and a gundam series without her will be a great loss to both fans and
the company....
...There have been Gundam series since the end of the 70s and none of them had
Lacus. So I don't think that Bandai will lose anything if they decide to remove
her.
I actually like Shinn. Sure, he acts like an ass most of the time and may seem
under developped, but that's because Kira and Athrun took over the show. So
yeah, blame Fukuda and his wife that can't write a script for Shinn's crappy
character.
NGE made me fall asleep during the final episodes and the end of the EoE movie.
Besides, it's nothing more than a combination of a couple of shows from the
80s...so meh.
I watched it awhile back and the only part I really liked was the battle against
Norris' Gouf Custom. The first few eps were good, but like Androidraptor said,
Shiro and Aina's relationship was rushed and that made me love the series less.
And the last ep...ugh.
I hated SEED since...it's only a combination of 0079 and X. That said, my
favorite Gundam series is Victory, closely followed by the original and Gundam
X.
Anyway, I've seen 0079, Igloo, 0080, 0083, 08th MS Team, Zeta, CCA, F91,
Victory, G, Wing/EW, X, Turn A, SEED/SEED-D.
Finished ep 25 last night and I can't wait for season 2.

I'd like to see Victory Gundam be liscenced.
Wing is how a Gundam series should be? You're aware Wing isn't the first Gundam series...right?
Did you see how long it took to charge the cannon? Unlike GS/D where the stronger beam cannons were fired almost instantly. And the light means nothing, it's just how their engines work.

I'm sure you didn't Stargazer because it didn't have Kira, right?
Anyway, seeing Gundam00 started last night, this topic doesn't really need to be around anymore...
I pretty much stopped watching when I realised there wouldn't be a second season. It's a damn shame too, since the manga gets much better after the war in the north.

There is a second season confirmed. It'll start in october 2007 and hopefully won't have the same airing problems as season one.
Sunrise (of Gundam fame) handled the plot.
And asking for manga downloads is against the rules if I recall.
There's no third SEED series (thank god). The only thing SEED fans can expect is a movie that should finish the SEED story. After that, there might be manga side stories, but don't expect a new series for the SEED universe.

Remove Kira entirely. He was the reason, along with the rest of the Archangel crew, that I hated Destiny.
Both SEED and Destiny were bad. Astray is where the greatness is at.

Crossbone X2 or an Hambrabi.

I posted that picture in the Code Geass section and it was deleted shortly after, so I decided to post it here for those who didn't get to see it.
It features Lelouch getting his pimp on, etc.
Not my scan.
Enjoy
